This is a good quality chrome automatic electric aerial, power antenna supplied by Hirschmann of Germany. It is a Hirschmann HIT AUTA 2060, part number 602433001, 602433-001.

Hirschmann supplied this type of mid-range aerial to BMW, Ford, Peugeot as original aerial in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. Although it is not Hirschmann's premium aerial AUTA 6000 series which was discontinued in 2015, it is made to Hirschmann's high standards and is superior to copies which are now widely available from China but which have inferior specification and poorer quality chrome plating. This aerial is ideal for most classic BMW saloon, sedan and coupe models, either with an aerial antenna mounted on the front wing or fender as on most earlier models, or on the rear wing fender as on later models. BMW New Six E3 saloon sedan and E9 Coupe models manufactured from approximately 1968 to 1977. BMW E12 5 series, first generation manufactured from 1972 to 1981fitted on the rear wing fender; 2500, 2800, 3000, 3.0 S and CS Coupe models. BMW 6 series E9, 2800, 3.0 and E24 628, 633, 635. BMW 5 series E12, E28: 518, 520, 525, 530, 535, M5. BMW 7 series E23, E32 725, 728,730, 733, 735, 745. BMW 8 series E31 840, 840Ci, 850i 850Ci 850 Csi M8 1989 to 1999. To replace Original Equipment (OE) aerials, poor quality after-market replacement aerials, or to upgrade from a manual aerial. Smooth and quiet in operation. First class quality chrome plating. Good quality screw- on 1.5 m coax lead with Hirschmann M10 screw connector and DIN 41585 male plug. Good quality fuse, fuse holder, mounting bracket, screws washers and drain tube. Supplied with multi-lingual instructions & installation suggestions in English, German and French. Please note on some early BMW aerials antenna there will be a separate electro-mechanical external relay. This new aerial has an inbuilt micro-processor control so the original relay will need to be isolated or removed. 5 section telescopic extends to 980cm. 325 x 90 x70 mm. PA6 Polymide (Automotive grade Nylon).
